Ever since I was a little kid, I have loved baseball. Soon after Tara and I were married, she started to adopt a love for baseball as well and it’s become something we love to go do. Whether it’s local college games or the minor league teams here in Utah, we love going. While we lived in Texas, we would go to Rangers games almost once a week before we moved back to Utah. Tara and I recently just got the companion pass through southwest, which gives one of us free flights for the rest of the year. We had plans in the past to go to every baseball park in the MLB, but now we have the ability to go.

We are basically starting from scratch. I’ve only ever been to two ballparks (Dodger stadium and Globe Life Park) and Tara has only been to one. To see every ballpark will probably take more than a year, especially with parks on the east coast, but we plan on seeing as many as we can this year. Tara is also pregnant with our second child due in August, so that will probably make things a little tough too.

So far, we have planned to go to Denver to see the Rockies play and a trip to LA to see the Dodgers play in July. I’ve always wanted to go see the Rockies play because they are so close.
Obviously, we won’t be able to visit every ballpark this year, so we will be making this a multi-year adventure. Some cities might be easier like New York where they have two teams relatively close to each. That’ll help us get further down our list sooner. We wish we could go to more this year, but with a baby expected in August, it may be a little difficult.
So far our plans for next year include a trip to Philadelphia for a work trip that we will hopefully be able to go see the Phillies play. Are there any other ballparks you’d like us to go to next? Any recommendations?
